The first Apple is planted

Well…not an apple tree, which could be nice.
Anyway, last week our computer was really acting up, and starting to error on lots of things. I figured it was a 18 month old Windows install that had seen lots of abuse, and it was time. Time, as in most Windows machines could be rebuild every year or so. Well, then it rebelled and errorred more than ever, and started dished out a few blue screens of death. I managed to backup everything. It seemed to be some bad hardware, but hadn’t pinpointed it. Being older, and the last 32-bit AMD chip, it was time for something better. Rather buy new, then start popping money into an older one. Besides, new means warrenty.
So, we went to the Apple store and got a new iMac. Reagan’s happy as it has a 17″ screen built in, and it connects to our 19″ LCD screen. The overall size is about exact, but the 2nd screen looks much bigger. It does give lots of desktop real estate. It is a rather fly operating system compared to Windows and it seems to do much more.
So, www.twobarn.farm, www.reaganosborne.com, and whatever else Reagan works on is now Apple powered.

Nibble, Nibble…

Had 2 showings in the last week, and saw 5 people pick up flyers this weekend. Looks like house hunting season has started. All of us are getting the itch to start this thing

Random ideas

So, as we get random thoughts about what to do on the farm, we started a notebook for ideas.  Well, I’m putting it here.  One less thing to find, move, etc.

Kitchen:

Freestanding range (flat top) w/ Oven in the island

Kenmore Elite counter depth fridge and freezer, can also bridge together to look huge

Lots of pantry space, deep freeze elsewhere
Laundry:

Front loading, efficient units.  And build them in with cabinets.  Build own riser, the drawer units they sell are overpriced

A little fun for you (and me!)

Rich recently brought this site to my attention and it was fun to paint like a kid again.  Here’s what you do:

Draw a house

Answer a few questions about your house.

Then you get back a summary of your personality.  Here is what mine said:

Based on your drawing and the 10 answers you gave this is a summary of your personality:
Your house tells the world that you ought to be a leader. You are a freedom lover and a strong person. You are shy and reserved. If you’ve drawn a cross on each of windows, you always want to live alone. Once you have a problem, you need a friend with you. Your life is always full of changes.
You will avoid being alone and seek the company of others whenever possible. You love excitement and create it wherever you go. You see the world as it is, not as you believe it should be.

You added a flower into your drawing. The flower signifies that you long for love. It also safe to say that others don’t see you as a flirt. You don’t think much about yourself.
