The barn (not the corn crib) was destroyed in the storm last night. RAGBRAI is here today, so I won’t be able to mourn it’s loss for a few days. Many more details will follow. . .

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Not the barn. OMG Im thinking of all the hard work you guys have done. Im bummed out. Spose it could have been worse. Is it a total loss? Can it be re-built?

We were originally hoping to salvage the curved rafters, but upon closer inspection yesterday, they are totally gone. We could build a replica, but not using the original materials.
It’s a total loss. Just scrap wood and a foundation.
